No Voicemail, Please

I hate voicemail.

First of all, they’re just answering machine messages posing as something more modern, nothing more.

Second, they’re cringy:

I cringe when I have to listen to other people’s voice messages.
I cringe when I try to leave voicemail myself.
I even cringe when I’m trying to record a voicemail greeting message.

So, a decision has now been made. I’ve turned off my voicemail service completely — for good. I’ve also decided to never leave a voicemail ever again. And I’m not going to miss it — not any of it.

I see this as another step, albeit a small one, on my journey towards hacking life not primarily by adding efficiency, but by removing frustrations.
