Here’s the Stockholm mood right now.
We’re walking around on Monteliusvägen and it’s surroundings.
The streets are empty, but I guess that this is the mood right now in Stockholm city.
It’s late in July, many city-dwellers have fled the city for their country-side vacation spots — and there’s the pandemic to take into account, of course.
I’m spending most of my time hanging out with my son, Jack. He’s excited about turning six and getting to start school soon.
jack knows about the pandemic, and he knows that we can’t just do all the things we usually do, but it’s remarkable how he, and many other kids, aren’t letting it stop them from fun and games.
We haven’t yet experienced an actual lockdown of the city, but that doesn’t mean that it’s life as usual. Life right now is … something other than usual.
It’s strange, really.
It’s still summer by all accounts, and the weather is warm albeit not hot — and it feels as if the city is hibernating.
